Best Face Forward

A friendly note to anyone who has not yet had a baby but thinks that they might like to: Are you aware that having babies can make your feet fat, hips spread, nipples dark, and nose widen? Those are just a few of the gems. The "symptoms" of pregnancy can be temporary or, the more unfortunate, permanent changes.

In college I experienced extremely dry scalp. I don't know if it was stress, environment, genetics, or something completely different. What I do know is that is eventually went away. With meds.

After birthing my boys in 2011 it was back. And worse. It spread from my scalp to my forehead, down my lady burns, across my eyebrows. Anywhere on my head that had hair was fair game.

Then I had an idea. Maybe it wasn't my skin/body/fault but maybe it was something I was putting on myself. I tried a new shampoo and cleared up my scalp pronto. ALRIGHT.

Now to tackle the face. I tried lotions- nope, cream make-up - nope, astringent - nope, olive oil - nope. Then I had an idea- Mineral makeup! If I could find one with just the bare minimum for ingredients I might stop overloading my obviously confused face.

I contacted Mineral Hygenics and within days was buffing my blotched skin with easy-to-apply light powder, cool kiss enhancer and a finishing translucent top coat. I've never in my life had an easier face regimen. This process goes so quickly that I can usually sneak it in during a morning potty break! Before I was waiting until I had somewhere special to be, now I have no trouble putting my best face forward every day.
