Birthdays!!

I can't believe we made it!

As was the prediction, the first year with our twins FLEW by in a blur.

We survived: their premature birth, Dayr's stay in the NICU (as well as his hernia surgery at three months), breastfeeding for seven months, cloth diapering, avoiding daycare, and moving across the country... PHEW!

Not to mention ALL of the other facets of having twins: 2x the sleepless nights, 2x the teething, 2x the crying, rocking, learning to crawl, falling down, messes and baths...

I think Bob and I can agree that their Birthday Party was as much a recognition of our accomplishment as it was a celebration of their life.

As is our new way we tried to keep things simple while celebrating. We kept spending low, included mostly family, and went with a color as a "theme" for ease of coordination.

Next year at this time we will be celebrating with three in tow! Time sure flies when you're having fun, and man are we having fun!
