Sweet Holiday Reflection

Photobucket
Gingerbread home decorated by mom + dad!

The Holidays always make me feel sentimental.
I start thinking back on the time I've had with different family and friends
and those reflections create a wealth of emotion.

This year, with so much new to reflect on, I find I'm in awe of
my growing, ever-changing children.

They never cease to amaze me.

Ayara's newest trick is rolling EVERYWHERE in the house
to get to us.
If we set her in one room and walk out
she follows, but not by crawling.
This girl can barrel roll like nobodys business!
Oh yeah, she loves to shout baby obscenities, too! Ex: ZHA ZHA ZHA!

The twins are talking up a storm, however,
some of their latest awe moments include:

  • Calling their tattoos (temporary of course!) tootats. Credit to Taylen.
  • Standing at the door long after daddy leaves for work saying
"I ya yew", which of course means "I love you",
and waiting for a response.
  • Picking up a fake phone (that can be a doorstop, train piece, baby cell, anything really)
and saying "Hewwo? Hi Gwammy! or Boppa, Gwandma, Gwandpa, Eht (that's Uncle Eric)"
  • Shaking their booty from left-to-right furiously anytime they hear a decent beat.
Credit to Dayr; Taylen's "booty shake" is mostly his head.
  • Waking up in the morning and saying (wide-eyed) "SNOWING!"
even though it's not snowing, but everything is covered in snow.
  • Waking up in the morning and saying "Mismus yites?"
Which translates to "Christmas lights?"
meaning they'd like us to plug in the Christmas tree.
  • No matter what Taylen is "spelling" it starts with T-Y-R.
When the boys count it goes: 1-2-3-4-5-H

I could really go on and on and on
but those are some of my favorite highlights.
For the moment, at least,
everything they do is new and exciting!

So here's to Holiday fun, and all of the smiles and memories it creates.

Merry Christmas!
From our clan, to yours!
